Welcome to all you Thrifties!

I started this blog in March 2011 but didn't get it going because my world got super chaotic. I started several projects, took photos, drafted several posts but only posted one thing in May and never followed through with publishing the others. Well...I am going to give it a shot now and I hope you will take the ride with me. Please bear with me as some projects may be from a year or so ago...may as well still post them, right?
Anywhoo...about me...I'm a thrift-aholic (is that even a word - lol) and love creating masterpieces for my home out of everything and anything.  I believe it is possible to have a lovely, comfortable home without spending thousands of dollars to do so. And I absolutely love making what appears to be a hot mess into something fab! My husband and kids think I am totally crazy when they see some of the things I bring in to the house :-) There's nothing like getting a $5 table (or a free one off the roadside - yes I've done that) and making it look like a million bucks. 
So, I want to use this blog as a fun way share how I design on a real dime...or a nickel and sometimes a penny :-)  I hope to also learn from my readers and other thrifty bloggers as well.
